Winter 2011: February IDS 2011

The Interior Design Show 2011 was a huge success! According to my students, fellow designers and the public that I spoke to- on Saturday afternoon!

The show had a sophistocated, yet funky edge to it, marrying the transitional with the functional.

If you did not walk away loving a shower stall or kitchen style - I would be amazed!

My favourite- of course- was the return of colour to the palette! I am so tauped out...however, writing that- it does go REALLY well with all the " old/new colours". Coral, teal, off white, yellow and a really neat-o green...Think 50's and 60's!

If they would only repaint cars those colours....We are far too stuck on black, white and silver...zzzzzzzzzzz.

Following fashion, the residencial areas will be hitting colour and pattern again!

Paisley, stripes, polka dots...come on back!

WALLPAPER IS FABULOUS AND BAAAACK!Modern twists and turns will dramatically affect your spaces...in a fantastic way!

I cannot wait to break the dull winter greys...As we know, all those new/old colours just add enthusiasm to any existing space, when combined with greys,blacks and browns!

Whoopie! Spring fling!
